On April 17th & 19th, the students at Kineton High School put on their own performance of Alice in Wonderland. This adds to a list of brilliant performances that the school has produced in the past.
A quote from Headteacher, Mrs Robson.
“It was expertly acted, directed and produced. The props and set design was perfect and the audience sitting in a chess set formation all added to the atmosphere. At the interval we attended the Mad Hatters tea party with members of the cast mingling in role amongst the audience. A truly fantastic show from start to finish, all credit to the staff, cast, back stage crew.”
A review from a member of the audience.
‘What a brilliant production, from a talented cast and crew. Miss Loveridge brought out the best in so many people. Cast, crew, set designers, costumes, lighting, sound, make up, including year 7’s through to 6th formers. A real team effort, any aspect not up to scratch would have let the whole thing down, but it was a triumph.
As I sat down in the hall on the ‘chess board’, with playing cards on guard, the atmospheric music set the scene. There were so many colourful characters brought to life by the very confident cast, who seemed so aptly selected for the role they played. Having seen many of them develop through the years, was especially rewarding. They were self-assured, full of expression and owned the stage.
To pick out any individual would be unfair to the others. They were all amazing it just goes to show that hard work, team work and belief that “I Can”, will bring great rewards. The whole team must be very proud. A thoroughly entertaining evening. Well Done!’ Review from a member of the audience.’
